$ man newsletter

The Miles Rook newsletter

Release notes for humans. Roughly once a month, never more than twice, and only when there is something to say.

What you get

  • Release day for The Nexus Protocol. One email when a book is out, with the link. Not three reminders in a week.
  • The launch of Terms and Conditions Apply on Royal Road, plus a note when an arc ends, so you can read it in one sitting instead of refreshing.
  • Patch notes from the workshop. How a system in the stories actually works, what got cut, and which pun survived review and should not have.
  • Changes you’d want to know about, like a release date moving. Release dates move. This is the place you hear about it first.
  • A signing bonus. Confirm your address and the welcome email brings Policy #0000: The System’s Original Terms of Service, the master policy every Policyholder in Terms and Conditions Apply agreed to by existing. Newsletter-only. Few Policyholders read the Terms. You can be one of them.

What you don’t get

  • Daily emails, countdowns, or “last chance” anything.
  • Your address shared with, sold to, or swapped with anyone.
  • Guilt. Unsubscribing is one click at the bottom of every email.

Books, serial, or both

The form asks what you’re here for:

  • Books: The Nexus Protocol releases and news.
  • Serial: Terms and Conditions Apply on Royal Road.
  • Both: tick both boxes. You still get about one email a month; it just covers more ground.

You can change your choice later from the link in any email.

How signing up works

  1. You enter your email address and pick books, serial, or both.
  2. MailerLite sends you a confirmation email. If you don’t click the link in it, you are not on the list, and that is the end of it.
  3. Once confirmed, you get a short welcome email with the link to Policy #0000, then the newsletter whenever something ships.

Replies to the newsletter reach a real inbox and are answered by the author, not by a model. Questions about your data: hello@milesrookbooks.com.
