About Miles Rook
Miles Rook has loved computers since the first one crashed on him. For years he dreamed of a co-processor for his imagination: something that would take his ideas, his terrible puns and his notes scribbled at 2 a.m., and compile them into stories. Now he has one. Miles designs the worlds, the systems and the jokes; an AI does the heavy typing; and a human editor reads every line before it ships. He writes LitRPG about systems, the bugs hiding in them, and the people who refuse to be garbage-collected, for readers who read the patch notes. Yes, these are the patch notes.
What he’s working on
- The Nexus Protocol, an eight-book LitRPG series about a programmer debugging a digital afterlife from the inside.
- Terms and Conditions Apply, a free web serial about an actuary who opens the first insurance firm in a world whose System is going broke.
How the stories get written
The short version is in the bio above. The long version, including what the AI does and doesn’t do, is on the AI disclosure page.
